Places of Interest
Karimunjawa main island is not so beautiful compared to the other islands, but of course has its places of interest. Go to Marina hotel and pay Rp. 12.500 per pax and you can see the nice sunrise there with beautiful white sand beach, and go to the harbour to see the sunset, if you like to make great picture with sunset and human interest.
If you like to go around Karimunjawa, You can go to Pulau Tengah and Pulau Cilik to go for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkling. Then end your journey in Pulau Menjangan Besar to swim with tame sharks.
If you like to do camping in remote island, please visit Pulau Cemara. Great snorkeling spot with some shallow water, nice white sand beach, and great spot to make bonfire.

How to go to the island
So far, we rent the boatman. The price depend on the distance. Last time I went to Pulau Cemara, to take us and pick us up, we have to pay Rp. 350.000 (it’s the regular price there)
To go around the island, it will be more then that.
If you have travel mates, it would be better.
The maximum people in boat will be 15, but can be for 20 as well (better 15 people)
The boatman that you can contact to take you around is :
CP : Karel (081390252496)
Last time I used his service and enjoyed the trip with him. Nice guy but too bad he doesnt speak English.
If you don’t get the agreement with him, you can go to the harbour and ask the people there. They will help you
To rent snorkeling gear, you can go to Dafista Homestay (not so far from the harbour). It cost Rp. 27.500 and you’ll get life jacket, snorkel, and fin. Without life jacket, the price will be Rp. 25.000. That’s for a day

The rate of Homestay, Hotels, and place to stay
a.Hamfa Homestay or Mas Arif – Lurah Telp. 0297-312125 (a bit far, so you have to take pedicab to go there), cost Rp. 75.000 (if the price is not changing) including meals. recomended by Sonny Hermawan, he said the food is better!
b.Karimunjawa Inn (Jl. Danang Jaya Telp. (0297) 312253 – 300 m from perintis harbour), rate from Rp. 127.500 to Rp 254.500. They offer Glass bottom boat, cost Rp. 35.000/trip/pax (hope the price doesnt increase)
c. Dafista Homestay, rate from Rp.50.000 – Rp.75.000 (not so far from harbour)
c. Other places to stay
Kura Kura Resort 0291-595-932 (expensive resort)
